The Calculus Chronicles
An interactive history of calculus, from Babylonian clay tablets to Robinson's infinitesimals: 61 moments on a true timeline, 25 hands-on labs, step-by-step proofs and readings from the original texts.
Mathematics · Data · AI
Mathematics Educator, Data Scientist and AI enthusiast. Building a range of interactive tools, and Data Science Projects.
I am a mathematics teacher, curriculum leader and IB examiner, with over a decade's experience in international schools across the UK, Korea, Vietnam and Singapore. I’m also completing a master’s in Data Science and AI at Harvard Extension School. This site collects my interactive tools, data science projects and writing on teaching, mathematics and AI.

Interactive slope fields and phase portraits for teaching differential equations: draggable initial points, Euler's method with step triangles, nullclines and isoclines, hidden equilibria to discover, and a classify-and-solve activity.

Interactive tool to that maps the main branches of AI (machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, generative AI and large language models) and shows where today's agentic AI fits among them.

Little Milestones tracks the milestones that matter, from the second trimester to age three, and pairs every single one with play ideas and small experiments that help you support it. Not a checklist that makes you anxious. A thread you follow together.
In development
An AI assessor for mathematics that asks students questions, Socratic-style, to find out how deeply they understand an idea rather than only whether the final answer is right. Its marks are checked against human marking of the same work.
Code
A recommendation engine that tackles the cold-start problem by combining user-generated tags with collaborative filtering, using SVD on sparse user-item data (MovieLens) to recommend by mood, not just genre.
Code
Evolutionary genre analysis of a 44-novel corpus with structural topic modelling and a PCA stylometric map, testing an "evolutionary bridge" hypothesis for Mary Shelley's work.
